YIWA Goals

1. Share knowledge and experiences.
2. Show and promote woodfired ceramics.
3. Ease Initiation and Transmission.

The first goal is of course to meet and exchange through local and international meetings, workshops, conferences.

Secondly, we're looking to develop general knowledge about woodfired ceramics.

Then, we look for people (young and older :) of course) to establish an exchange network of people and workshop for young people to learn woodfired ceramics by active involvement. This is often called "Woofing" around the world.

Involvement

YIWA is promoting the emergence of local YIWA groups. You can start one in your own country or even region, village, just because you want to get involved into an active exchange with other groups.

YIWA is aimed at getting people together. We want the young one to come, learn and show their work. We want the older ones to come at YIWA and show what they know, how they do things. Everybody is welcome.
